Insert a new letter between two existing letters
Tap the arrow that appears below the letter or space. With your tablet pen, point to the letter or space that you want to delete. In the writing spaces of the correction area, write the letters that you want to use on top of the letters that you want to replace. Tap the suggested word that you want to use. Replace the word that needs correcting with a suggested alternate 
In the correction area, do one of the following. Tap the recognized text that you want to correct. When you are finished writing and correcting your text, tap Insert.Ĭorrect handwriting recognition errors before you insert text. If necessary, correct any handwriting recognition errors. In the writing area, write your text on the line. In Input Panel, tap the Writing Pad button. With the pen, tap the Tablet PC Input Panel icon. 
The Tablet PC Input Panel icon appears. 
Move the tip of the pen near the screen. If the writing pad does not recognize your handwriting correctly, there are several ways that you can correct it.Īn insertion point appears to indicate that you can insert text at that location. After you've written your text on the writing pad, recognized text appears below your handwriting to indicate what Input Panel will insert when you tap Insert. You can use the writing pad to insert text on your tablet computer.
